Für die NEPS-Startkohorte 1 stehen ab sofort die neuen Daten der Version 11.0.0 für wissenschaftliche Analysezwecke zur Verfügung.
Der aktuelle Scientific-Use-File (doi:10.5157/NEPS:SC1:11.0.0) enthält die neu hinzugekommenen Daten aus der elften Erhebungswelle der Neugeborenen-Startkohorte des Nationalen Bildungspanels (NEPS). Die Feldzeit reichte von April 2022 bis November 2022. Die Erhebung bestand aus einem telefonischen Elterninterview (CATI) sowie einer tablet-basierten Kompetenztestung und einer selbstadministrierten Befragung des Zielkinds im Haushalt (CAPI/CASI). Die Testung umfasste die Bearbeitung von Aufgaben in den Kompetenzdomänen Lesen (Schnelles Lesen, Lesen-ELFE), Mathematik (Zahlenrätsel) und kognitive Grundfähigkeiten (DGCF, Zeichenrätsel). Zusätzlich zum Elterninterview wurde in dieser Welle erstmals auch der im Haushalt lebende Partner bzw. die Partnerin der Befragungsperson um Teilnahme an einer kurzen Befragung, die als Online-Erhebung (CAWI) im Nachgang an das Elterninterview stattfand, gebeten. New data for the NEPS Starting Cohort 1 are now available in version 11.0.0 for scientific use.
The current Scientific Use File (doi:10.5157/NEPS:SC1:11.0.0) contains newly added data from the eleventh wave of the Newborns Starting Cohort of the National Educational Panel Study (NEPS). The field period ranged from April 2022 to November 2022. The survey consisted of a telephone interview with parents (CATI) as well as a tablet-based competence test and a self-administered survey with the target children in the household (CAPI/CASI). The testing included tasks in the competence domains of reading (reading speed, reading-ELFE), mathematics and basic cognitive skills (DGCF). In addition to the parental interview, the partner of the respondent living in the household was also asked to complete a short online survey (CAWI) following the parental interview for the first time in this wave. Detailed information about the content and the realization of this survey wave can be found in the corresponding Field Report on the website in the section „Documentation“. There you will also get the Data Manual as the first guide to get started working with the Scientific Use File as well as the Release Notes with information about relevant adjustments regarding the data preparation.
