Für die NEPS-Startkohorte 3 stehen ab sofort die neuen Daten der Version 12.0.0 für wissenschaftliche Analysezwecke zur Verfügung.
Der aktuelle Scientific-Use-File (doi:10.5157/NEPS:SC3:12.0.0) enthält neu hinzugekommene Daten aus der zwölften Erhebungswelle der Startkohorte der Fünftklässler. Die Feldzeit reichte von September 2020 bis Mai 2021. Im Rahmen der telefonischen Erhebung (CATI) wurden zum einen der Lebensverlauf nach verschiedenen Bereichen erfasst und zum anderen je nach Lebenssituation Fragen zum Übergang in eine Ausbildung, ein Studium oder eine Erwerbstätigkeit gestellt. Außerdem wurden Informationen zur Person und zum Haushalt, z. B. auch zu Auswirkungen der COVID-19-Pandemie, abgefragt. In der nachgelagerten Online-Befragung (CAWI) unter Schülern mit dem Abschlussziel Abitur, Auszubildenden im letzten Ausbildungsjahr und Studierenden kamen weitere lebensphasenspezifische Fragen zum Einsatz. Eine Testung von Kompetenzen fand in dieser Welle nicht statt. New Scientific Use File of Starting Cohort 3 (Grade 5) released
New data for the NEPS Starting Cohort 3 are now available in version 12.0.0 for scientific use.
The current Scientific Use File (doi:10.5157/NEPS:SC3:12.0.0) contains new data from the twelfth wave of the NEPS starting cohort of fifth graders. The fieldwork period ranged from September 2020 to May 2021. The telephone survey (CATI) covered the life course according to different life domains and, depending on the life situation, included also questions on the transition to training, studies or employment. In addition, information about the person and the household, e.g., about effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, was requested. In the follow-up online survey (CAWI) among high school students aiming to graduate with the Abitur, apprentices in their final year of training, and university students, additional life-stage-specific questions were applied. There was no testing of competencies in this wave. The Field Report on the website in the section „Documentation“ provides detailed information on the content and the realization of this survey wave.
