Neuer Scientific-Use-File der Startkohorte 6 (Erwachsene) veröffentlicht
Für die NEPS-Startkohorte 6 stehen ab sofort die neuen Daten der Version 14.0.0 für wissenschaftliche Analysezwecke zur Verfügung.
Der aktuelle Scientific-Use-File (doi:10.5157/NEPS:SC6:14.0.0) enthält die neu hinzugekommenen Daten aus der vierzehnten Erhebungswelle der Startkohorte der Erwachsenen. Die Feldzeit reichte von September 2021 bis Oktober 2022. Die Befragung bestand aus einem telefonischen Interview (CATI) zur Fortschreibung der Lebensverlaufsdaten und - sofern das Einverständnis gegeben wurde - aus einer Bearbeitung von Aufgaben in den Kompetenzbereichen Naturwissenschaften und Computerwissen (ICT) im Rahmen eines persönlich-mündlichen Interviews (CAPI) im Haushalt der Befragungsperson. Aufgrund der Corona-Situation musste das CAPI-Feld vom November 2021 bis April 2022 unterbrochen werden. Nachgelagert zum CATI-Interview wurden alle Befragten zu einer zusätzlichen Online-Erhebung (CAWI) eingeladen. Ausführliche Hinweise zum Inhalt und zur Realisierung dieser Erhebung enthält der entsprechende Methodenbericht auf der Webseite im Bereich „Dokumentation“. Auf dieser Webseite finden sich auch die Release Notes mit Informationen über relevante Anpassungen bzgl. der Datenaufbereitung sowie das Data Manual, welches eine umfassende Einführung in den Umgang mit den Daten bietet.

New Scientific Use File of Starting Cohort 6 (Adults) released
New data for the NEPS Starting Cohort 6 are now available in version 14.0.0 for scientific use.
The current Scientific Use File (doi:10.5157/NEPS:SC6:14.0.0) contains newly added data from the fourteenth wave of the Starting Cohort of adults. The field period ranged from September 2021 to October 2022. The survey consisted of a telephone interview (CATI) to update the life history data and - if consent was given - a processing of tasks in the competence areas of natural sciences and computer knowledge (ICT) within the framework of a personal interview (CAPI) in the respondent’s household. Due to the Corona situation, the CAPI field had to be stopped from November 2021 to April 2022. Subsequent to the CATI interview, all respondents were invited to participate in an additional online survey (CAWI). Detailed information about the content and the realization of this survey wave can be found in the corresponding Field Report on the website in the section „Documentation“. On this website you will also get the Release Notes with information about relevant adjustments regarding the data preparation as well as the Data Manual, which offers a comprehensive introduction to the handling of the data.
