I have a question regarding the childl.dta and youthl.dta files in the SOEP. The years of birth in these files are limited to 2000 and 2002, respectively. I would like to ask whether youthl and childl data are also available for birth years before 2000. I need data starting from the 1991 birth cohort. How can I gain access to these earlier data?
Hey Victor, the only possibility are the biol-dataset, containing information on children of the respondents as well. And for the respondents themselves. Questionnaires for pupil, early youth and youth were introduced in 2000 as you mentioned.
