In der Datenerhebung der Startkohorte 3 ist es seit der 10. Panelwelle und in der Startkohorte 4 seit der 9. Panelwelle zu einem kritischen Fehler gekommen, der die Variablen ts15207 (Ort der Ausbildungsstätte) im Datensatz spVocTrain betrifft. Aufgrund einer fehlerhaften Zuweisung innerhalb der Erhebung wurden für Episoden eines Hochschul- bzw. Universitätsstudiums (ts15201=7, 8, 9, 10), einer Promotion (ts15201=15) oder einer Habilitation (ts15201=16) falsche Werte in die Variable ts15207_g4O (Gemeinde der Ausbildungsstätte - Kreis) geschrieben. Die daraus abgeleiteten Variablen ts15207_g3O (Gemeinde der Ausbildungsstätte - Regierungsbezirk), ts15207_g2R (Gemeinde der Ausbildungsstätte - Bundesland) und ts15207_g1 (Gemeinde der Ausbildungsstätte - West/Ost) sind von diesem Fehler ebenso betroffen. Episoden anderer Ausbildungstypen (ts15201=1 bis 6, 11 bis 14, 17) weisen in den genannten Variablen dagegen kein Problem auf.
Der genannte Fehler wurde mit dem aktuellen Update der SC3 (12.1.0) und dem Release der SC4 (13.0.0) behoben. Bei Nutzung der Variablen ts15207 sollte unbedingt mit den korrigierten Daten gearbeitet werden! Im Fall von bereits abgeschlossenen Analysen empfiehlt sich ggf. eine Prüfung der Ergebnisse auf Basis der aktuellen Scientific-Use-Files der SC3 und SC4. Due to an incorrect assignment within the survey, incorrect values were written into the variable ts15207_g4O (municipality of training facility - district) for episodes of a college or university degree (ts15201=7, 8, 9, 10), a doctorate (ts15201=15), or a habilitation (ts15201=16). The derived variables ts15207_g3O (municipality of training facility - administrative district), ts15207_g2R (municipality of training facility - federal state), and ts15207_g1 (municipality of training facility - west/east) are also affected by this error. Episodes of other types of vocational training (ts15201=1 to 6, 11 to 14, 17) do not show any problem in the mentioned variables.
The error has been fixed with the current update of SC3 (12.1.0) and the release of SC4 (13.0.0). When using the variable ts15207, it is essential to work with the corrected data! In the case of analyses that have already been completed, it may be advisable to check the results on the basis of the current Scientific Use Files of SC3 and SC4.
